Image
Welcome to Quarantine content, this is just to keep you entertained when you stay at home. All of us are quarantine right now. Hope all of you are safe out there.  One Plus Chinese tech giant One Plus launched its new smartphone series the One Plus 8 and the One Plus 8 pro . One PLus recently is becoming really popular and is also my favorite android phone apart from the Pixel Series.  The phones have 5G, IP certification for water resistance, 120 Hz display(Pro version), 90Hz display(non-pro).  the 180Hz display in the pro is one of the smoothest displays on the planet right now. It is hard to find the difference between 90Hz and 120Hz for a normal person. But if you are a person who does gaming on his/her phone, then you might catch the bee. One Plus Both the phones have a really good design , with the punch hole camera in the front. Both the phone comes in 3 different colors which are really good looking. OnePlus 8 Pro is rated IP68 meaning...

Samsung M40 : It's Indeed OMG!!!

Image
Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy M40 today. It would be the fourth smartphone launching under Galaxy M-series. Samsung has confirmed some features of Galaxy M40 like an Infinity-O display, a triple camera setup, and a Snapdragon 6 series SoC.   Ok, lets get it off the way, the Galaxy M40 price in India has been set at just Rs 19,990. This phone is offered with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will be available in two colours - Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue. Speaking about the display, the M40 comes with a futuristic infinity O display which looks super cool. The M40 is the first infinity O display phone to come at this price range. The screen is an immersive 6.3" FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 480 nits  with a 1200:1 contrast ratio.  The Galaxy M40 uses an on-board sound technology.  With the Galaxy M40, Samsung has removed the 3.5mm headphone jack as well, but the company is bundling Type-C earphones with the bo...

Samsung Galaxy Fold: Hands on, they are breaking!!!

Image
Samsung launched the Galaxy Fold in February this year to huge fanfare, and rightly so. It was one of the first folding phones ever, and it was way better than any that came before it. So when Samsung sent out review units of the Galaxy Fold to a bunch of outlets and reviewers a couple of days back, what everyone expected was reviews raving about the Galaxy Fold and the fact that we can fold displays now like it’s no big deal.(incl. me) Turns out, it is   a big deal, because most of the reviewers that got the phone, found out that the display is really finicky on the phones. Some reviewers, including Marques Brownlee (MKBHD on YouTube), reported that the displays on their review units cracked, blacked out, and basically did things displays aren’t supposed to be doing. droid life That’s not all, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, and Todd Haselton from CNBC also reported on their review units showing glaring issues in the display. Take a look at what’s been happening: MKBHD o...

Huawei P30 Pro : Is this the new camera king?

Image
Imagine a phone with all that a Pixel 3XL has with a better camera and better battery life ?  mkbhd The P30 Pro addresses the few downsides of Huawei’s already excellent Mate 20 Pro from last year, and it adds a sophisticated new camera system that promises up to 10x lossless zoom.   Huawei is omitting an earpiece on the P30 Pro, making innovative use of electromagnetic levitation to vibrate the top of the screen to generate call audio. That means there are no stereo speakers on this phone, and there are also more discreet phone calls because call sound will only propagate in one direction.    Ok, before getting lost in all of the details about Huawei’s new quad-camera system, it’s worth quickly noting the salient specs of the P30 Pro. This new phone is built around the 7nm  Kirin 980  processor that Huawei designs itself, which I really liked in the  Mate 20 Pro  and the  Honor View 20  (you can check out my article on...

The SHOWDOWN : Galaxy Fold vs Huawei Mate X

Image
The future of smartphones...Is it the folding phones ? During the MWC'19 Samsung and Huawei came up with their new folding phones. We saw other companies come up with folding phones during CES'19, but they weren't impressive. Most of us were not happy with the design, but these 2 could change your mind...  Smartphones have grown steadily bigger over the years as screens have increased in size and manufacturers have tried to balance thing s by shrinking down   bezels  so that our devices are still manageable.  Samsung Fold  Samsung has also put in a huge 12GB of RAM, which seems excessive until you consider that the Samsung Galaxy Fold has two screens to transition between and enough screen space for you to use three apps simultaneously, as it showed in the demo. Huawei has gone with 8GB of RAM in the Mate X, which will likely be plenty. Both have 512GB of storage, but only the Huawei Mate X has a MicroSD card slot for expansion. The desi...

Samsung S10 : Worth the hype?

Image
Ok...Finally there is some break. In the last one month a total of 10 smartphones were released, beginning with the release of Samsung's best smartphone till now Samsung S10 to the end of MWC '19 ( Mobile World Congress). Now why is the Samsung S10 getting so much hype suddenly ? Did you ever have this thought in your mind ? If yes, continue reading... First of all let me get this out of the way. I expected it, we know this was coming. Yes, the display of this phone. The Samsung Galaxy S10 has the new punch hole camera. This allows more screen space which looks beautiful. Samsung has had one of the best display's in the past few years and this time they are not any less. Samsung This phone feels like the opposite of the iPhone: if you’ve been frustrated with Apple’s recent devices for lacking headphone jacks, adding notches, or removing fingerprint scanners, Samsung is here for you with a headphone jack, a fingerprint scanner, and a notchless screen design . ...

Samsung M20 : Save Money (First Look)

Image
First, 1 min silence for the end of bezels in a smartphone. Samsung was the only company which did not feature a notch. Now they have finally released, the M10 and M20, probably the best phones in the budget range. Take a look at it. Don't  they look like one plus 6T ? samsung NDTV Whatever, point being, there's a lot of new tech this year! Last year we had.        Tech-tober(october), may be this is Tech-uary? We had CES 2019, with new concepts and crazy new tech everywhere. And to top it off, a new Galaxy Series. It's called the M-Series, and it is a budget phone to compete in markets such as India and China, where companies like Huawei and Xiaomi are starting to take the budget phone crown.  I must say that it looks a lot like the OnePlus 6T, which is surprisingly also a "budget phone". However, the new M-Series will be a lot cheaper, starting at around  ₹8,000 . The phone has dual cameras, USB-C, a headphone jack, and a f...
