Macbook Air 2020 : What's new ?
There is a new product launched...It's that strange, wild time, which none of us expected. Apple launched its MacBook Air 2020 and the new iPad Pro. Its actually strange to see that an apple product was being launched and there was no hype around, which usually is the case. There are no events, no store's open, even if you check the official Apple website, it would say their stores are closed.
So they launched a couple of products out of which 2 were the main ones, the new 2020 Macbook Air and the new 2020 iPad Pro.
MacBook Air is one of Apple's most popular product for a very long time. SO, what's new in the new Macbook Air?
The Macbook air has the magic keyboard which all of us wanted. The old Mac had the butterfly keyboard which was not very comfortable to type on. It's just better than any other keyboard in every way. It's still the same size, it is backlit, and no touch bar.
But it has the touch id, fingerprint reader which is at the top right corner. It also has the inverted T arrow key which apple did not have for a while. Do you like the inverted T arrow key or the rectangular ones where the left-right keys are big? Let me know in the comments below.
The speakers on the laptop are pretty good and has good Bass.
Apart from the physical update, there have been some small updates in the specs. It has Intel's 10th Gen chips and also Iris + graphics. You can also get a Quad-core chip in a Macbook Air now, for the first time. It has intel core i5 8GB RAM. The Macbook Air can never be used for any powerful work. The Air now supports Pro Display XDR which is just awesome. They also increased the base storage to 256 gigs and you can go up to 2 terabytes for the first time. Apple claims to give the Air 11 hours of battery life from its test.
Is the new Macbook Air a good upgrade, YES.
Is the new Macbook Air equal to the Pro, NO!!
Why? Because there is no update on the screen size it is still 13inch which is ok, not bad not good. There are still some bezels on the screen. It still has Wifi 6.
The camera on the laptop is very bad quality, its just 720p which is not something we expect from Apple, which has a really good reputation with the camera's on their phones.
Finally, if you want a laptop with premium looks and great quality and are ready to spend money it is a good choice. The Macbook Air starts at Rs.92990 in India. If you are looking for a good laptop then Mac is the best choice. If you are a gamer, or you don't want to spend a lot of money then it is recommended to go for some other laptop.
